Water boreholes can face several issues throughout their lifespan, such as the accumulation of mineral sediment, migration of fine particles and debris towards the borehole, and the activity of microorganisms that can cause clogging of the water well. These issues can lead to a decrease in water yield and deposition on the screen. The severity of these problems can vary from one borehole to another depending on the aquifers and borehole properties. This can be identified by following the evidence:

  • The reduction of water boreholes throughout time
  • The increase in consuming energy and electricity
  • Sand production and depletion of water quality
  • The increase of solid content, suspended debris, and turbidity of water
  • Drawdown of dynamic water levels

These issues will be solved by the procedures of descaling.

After the operation of video inspection and recognition of boreholes-related issues, skilled experts suggest the best method to descale chemical and physical depositions using chemical and physical methods to resolve the problems.

  • Well-development and removing debris and fine particles within gravel pack.
  • Removing the strain on the casing and reducing the probability of destruction of the casing
