Water consumption in the petrochemical industry can be divided into three parts: water needed in the process, water needed in cooling towers and steam production, and finally water needed for general purposes. Meanwhile, the share of the first two cases is about 90-95% of the water used in a petrochemical unit. Currently, various water sources are used to meet the water needs of petrochemical units in the country. For example, sea water is used in Mobin and Damavand petrochemicals, Karun river in the special economic zone, dam water in Isfahan and Shiraz, and deep wells in Arak petrochemicals.<\/span><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In addition to the water wells that are used to supply drinking water, wells are also used as drainage wells to absorb the extracted salty water along with oil in oil extraction. The water absorption coefficient in drainage wells, like the withdrawal coefficient, can change under the influence of sediment formation factors and reduce the efficiency of the well over time. In other words, in the drainage wells, we are also facing the problem of aging and deterioration of the well. This phenomenon is more pronounced and occurs at a higher speed in wells that are exposed to salt water.<\/span><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In addition to water wells, oil wells also face the problem of reduced productivity and aging, and their performance decreases due to the formation of organic and mineral deposits.
